FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- General Motors has announced that its vehicles will soon be transformed into a sort of "smart-vehicle" complete with 4G mobile broadband technology.

The GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado, which are two models assembled at the Fort Wayne GM facility, will soon be wired to access the internet or WiFi using AT&T Inc. as the service provider. This is an initiative that GM plans to employ is all 2014 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Opel and Vauxhall models sold in North America.

This new feature will offer drivers a plethora of new options for the center console screen including real-time traffic jams or construction sites on a route map. It will also provide options for backseat passengers using video viewers.
