INDIANA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - More online options for BMV customers starting this week but if you're a young driver you'll have to wait a little longer for your license.
As of Thursday July 1st, you will be able to renew your driver's license or State ID card online.
You'll also be able to request replacements if you lose one of those cards and you can schedule a drive test or get a list of the ten license branches closest to you.
BMV Commissioner Andy Miller says, “Over the last two years we've seen Hoosier motorists clamor for more and more services on-line. Really, anywhere other than the branch. Whether that's with partner locations, through the mail, on-line.
Also starting Thursday, beginners who've taken Drivers Ed will have to wait another six months before getting their learner's permit and another five months before getting a license.
