Allen County Commissioners Object To Aqua's Rate Increase

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The Allen County Board of Commissioners has sent out a letter to state regulators opposing Aqua Indiana’s pending rate increase.

In the letter, sent to the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor, the Commissioners said that the 16.6 % water service and 18.5 % increase for sewer service is inappropriate and excessive for the residents of Aboite Township.

Within the last two years Aqua Indiana was granted a 75 % increase on its water and sewer rates.
