Allen County, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - Allen County Sheriff Ken Fries received emergency funding from county council Thursday morning as members approved $410,000 from the "rainy day fund."
That's what Fries thinks it will cost for the rest of the year to pay for jail inmates' pre-existing medical conditions, which is law.
Fries estimates it will cost county taxpayers more than $2.2 million this year for inmates' health care costs.
