FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Man's best friend was able to celebrate Easter at the Sixth Annual Easter Bone Hunt.

Dog owners grabbed leashes and brought their dogs to Franke Park Saturday morning to sniff out hidden eggs filled with treats.

The event was put on to support pet adoptions at Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control.

It also featured dog-friendly games and a photo opportunity with the Easter bunny.

More prizes were available with raffle tickets to increase funding for homeless animals.
