FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter)— Another armed robbery at an apartment complex on the city's north side Monday night.
This follows a string of apartment robberies in the same area.
Police say a person outside the Woodbridge Apartments off of Saint Joe Center Road was allegedly robbed at gunpoint around 8 p.m. The victim suffered minor injuries.
Police say they discovered a gun nearby on a car.
In this case police say they are looking for a black male.
A black male in his mid 20's armed with a handgun is also wanted in a string of seven armed robberies at four different apartment complexes over the last two months.
Police say he typically targets women entering or exiting vehicles between the hours of 7 and 9 p.m. and hides behind a dumpster or the bushes for maximum surprise.
Apparently the Woodbridge Apartments already had a crime prevention meeting scheduled for February 10th according to a sign posted outside the leasing office.
