FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- The Ash Brokerage downtown development project inches further along after the Capital Improvement Board approved an additional $4 Million investment.

The decision came at a morning meeting where the CIB approved money from food and beverage taxes to go towards an expanded public parking garage.

Late afternoon, the City Redevelopment Commission was asked to approve additional funding assistance for the garage as well, which is going to cost $20 Million more than initially estimated.

Groundbreaking is expected within a matter of weeks on the Ash project.
