Assistant Principal Formally Charged With Drug Possession

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Shadwaynn Curry has been formally charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor related to her arrest last week.

The Fort Wayne Community School Assistant Principal was originally arrested for dealing marijuana and possession of cocaine, but she is no longer charged with dealing.

Shadwaynn Curry is also known as Mikki White. She was not required to appear in court this morning, but the judge issued a warrant for her arrest on new felony charges.. including possession of marijuana and cocaine, as well as one count of maintaining a common nuisance.

Curry was arrested last week when police found drugs in her home after arresting her husband, 33-year-old Derek Curry, in Illinois.

He is facing charges for felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

Shadwaynn Curry has been suspended with pay from her position as assistant principal at Memorial Park Middle School pending the outcome of this criminal case against her.
