FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - For the first time, a suspended Fort Wayne Community Schools assistant principal appeared in felony court Thursday morning, to answer to charges of possessing pot and cocaine.
41-year-old Shadwaynn Curry, also known as Mikki White, pleaded not guilty to four counts. Possession of pot, possession of cocaine, possession of paraphernalia, and maintaining a common nuisance.
She will remain free on bond until her next court date.
Court documents say a search of her home uncovered nearly 300-grams of pot in vacuum-sealed bags, scales, more than $4,500 in case hidden around the house, and a loaded 45-caliber handgun.
Curry's trial date will be scheduled during a court hearing January 19th.
Fort Wayne Community Schools suspended her with pay from her duties as assistant principal at Memorial Park Middle School while her legal case proceeds.
