Authorities To Conduct OVI Checkpoints in Ohio

VAN WERT COUNTY, Ohio (21Alive) – In Ohio, the State Highway Patrol and the Paulding County Sheriff's Department will be out looking for drunk drivers Saturday night.

The OVI (operating a vehicle while impaired) checkpoints will be on State Road 114 and Blaine Street in Van Wert and Paulding Counties from 5:30 – 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

The checkpoints are funded by federal grants with the goal to not only catch impaired drivers, but to also to deter them.
