GULF OF MEXICO (Indiana's NewsCenter) - It's day 105 into the oil spill, and workers are preparing the first of two lethal cocktails for the BP oil rig.

Both are mixtures of mud and cement that will be pumped into the well from two directions, choking it off forever.

If all goes to plan Operation Static Kill will kick off Monday night.

Heavy mud will be pumped into the capped well gradually pushing down the oil and suffocating the upward pressure.

Then cement gets pumped in.

If it works, it hardens and plugs the well for good.

The same process could be repeated from below with the relief well a few days later.
