FORT WAYNE, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- On Saturday Allen County Coroner identified the body that was found floating along the banks of the River Greenway on Friday afternoon.

The body was that of John Z. Septer, 21, of Fort Wayne. Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Septer's cause of death is consistent with drowning. The manner of death is still pending further investigation, but investigators do not believe that foul play is a factor.

The Fort Wayne Fire Department originally responded along with the police, coroners office, and DNR officials.

Authorities still don't know how the man got into the river but say it doesn't appear he was there for very long before the body was discovered.

The death is under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, The Allen County Coroner's Office, and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
