New York (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A Fifth Avenue lingerie store claims that this 29-year-old curvy blond needed to wear her boyfriend’s oversized t-shirt to work because she was “too hot” for the work environment.
Lauren Odes said she was working at Native Intimates as a temporary employee in the Garment District when one day her supervisor claimed the male Orthodox Jewish owners weren’t comfortable with her attire.
Odes said she was “appalled” when her supervisor suggested she tape down her breasts.
Odes said the situation escalated to its peak when she was walked over to a closet and told to put on a bright red bathrobe and sit at her desk all day wearing it. She was fired later that day.
Attorney Gloria Allred is asking the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to investigate the case, saying no one should be fired for having female body parts or being too attractive.
