FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) -- Now that students are back in school, it's, unfortunately, a prime opportunity for bullying. But a team of filmmakers from Carroll High School have been awarded for their efforts against bullying.
At a ceremony in L.A. over the weekend for the Great American No Bull Challenge, their film won "Best Actor" for showing a day in the life of a teen who's bullied online and at school.
It ends with his suicide but the actor says he thinks teens are getting the anti-bullying message.
"I think they are, especially with the law that's just been passed in Indiana. Bullying is illegal," Adam Gannon said. "I think it's going to cut down on bullying a lot."
The students acknowledged the award and recognition will look pretty good on their college applications.
