FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The Fort Wayne man who pleaded guilty to neglecting his daughter, possession of marijuana and cruelty to an animal has been sentenced to a year in prison.
The story of the starved Chihuahua named "Chico" gripped the community for weeks.
19-year-old Antonio Morales was sentenced to a year in prison and a year on probation and must reimburse Animal Care and Control $147 for tending to the dog, who was adopted by his rescuing officer.
