FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The hot topic at tonight's Fort Wayne council meeting is next year's city budget.
The budget comes in just shy of $135 million.
That's about a two-percent increase from the 2010 budget.
The proposed budget does call for a one-percent raise for non-union city workers.
Also, property taxes will go up about 2.9-percent.
If you own a home assessed at $100,000, your bill would go up $11a year.
A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12th at 5:30 pm at the City County Building.
A final vote could come as early as late October.
