FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- An ordinance that would have created a city court is no longer being considered.
Fort Wayne Deputy Mayor Beth Malloy and Michael McAlexander of the Allen County Prosecutors Office held a joint news conference late this Wednesday afternoon.
Both departments agreed that the current economic climate is forcing local governments to find better ways to serve the public as well as ensure that laws are enforced and at this time city court is not the answer.
