Mason, OH (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- The Beach Waterpark in Mason, Ohio is now in legal hot water over how it handled things as it went out of business.

The waterpark was a water amusement park located across the street from King's Island.

The waterpark sold nearly $9,000 season passes for this year.
In March, The Beach Waterpark announced it would not reopen.

Instead of offering refunds, the waterpark offered discounts and day passes to other local attractions, such as Kings Island and the Cincinnati Zoo.

Ohio Attorney General Mike Dewine has filed a lawsuit saying the waterpark violated Ohio's Consumer Sales Practices Act.
