Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum is looking to fill between 100 and 120 seasonal part-time jobs.
Thursday the Coliseum and ARAMARK held a job fair where close to 1,000 people filled out applications and met with hiring managers.
One man told INC he attended the job fair because he’s looking for extra work to supplement his income as he works to build up his own business.
"Just getting out here and getting your feet wet after being employed by companies for so long, you kind of get intimidated in some ways to go out and get your feet wet a little bit but right now I'm just eager and ambitious to get out and do what it is I need to do to remain gainfully employed," said Barry Martin, seeking job.
Available positions for the Coliseum include Guest Services (usher), Parking Lot Attendant and Receptionist. ARAMARK is seeking applicants for Concessions staff, Cooks, Catering servers, Rooftop Lounge servers and Warehouse runners. All positions are part-time with event based schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.
