FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A Fort Wayne who is facing two counts of neglect and one count of battery learned that his case goes to trial February 15th.

Michael Combs was living with his sister, Anna Hogan, and "then-girlfriend" Shanna Vorndran in September 2010.

That's when police say Vorndran's two-year-old son fractured a leg and went without medical attention for more than 24-hours.

When they investigated, police found that Vorndran's other young child had more than 70-bruises, from head to toe.

Vorndran and Hogan have each been charged with two counts of neglect.

But during Tuesday morning hearing Combs says he isn't responsible for the children's injuries, his sister is.

Michael Combs says, “She's lying about just about everything she's said so far. Truth will always come out. She can't hide forever."

Combs' Mother says, “He's going to pull through. He's going to be alright. God knows what He's doing. He's got it all under control."

Combs also said he thought all of this was over, since it happened more than a year ago.

Since police officers just picked him up a few weeks ago.

Both Combs and his mother say they don't exactly know what happened and realize that someone had hurt those children but defend that it just wasn't him.

Combs' mother says the fractured leg could have happened while in a baby-sitter's care.

But off camera the mother told Indiana’s NewsCenter that her son isn't capable of this, but her daughter could be.

Hogan, the sister, goes to trial January 10th.
