INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Indiana Secretary of State Charlie White can hold on to his job at least for the time being.

The recount commission issued their decision Tuesday morning saying laws governing the issue in which White was accused of were antiquated, and the commission could not determine his intent, therefore had no choice but to vote the way they did.

Indiana Secretary of State (R) Charlie White says, “I never thought in a million years politics would get this dirty. I have been involved in politics since I was a kid. I grew up you have debates and at the end of the day we're still friends. If we don’t agree we all still want a better Indiana. This activity when we are filing criminal charges and civil charges all at the same time is very suspicious timing."

White was accused of voting at a wrong location.

Democrats are unclear how they will proceed.

They say there is a possibility they will appeal to a higher court.

Meanwhile White still faces criminal charges for voter fraud in Hamilton County.
