Dept. of Workforce Development to Begin Drug Testing Trainees

INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The Department of Workforce Development is requiring drug testing for anyone receiving training paid through WorkOne.

Indiana is the first state to test those who get training paid for with taxpayer money.

Workers who test positive for drugs are not allowed to have the funded training through the Workforce Investment Act.

The policy goes into effect July first.
