Driver Mangles Car Around Utility Pole

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A man is in the hospital after crashing his car into a pole early Friday.

The accident happened around one o'clock Friday morning in the 6500 block of Ardmore Avenue, between Lower Huntington Road and Sand Point Road.

Investigators say the car flipped onto its roof after he drove into a poll.

The road was closed for a bit as crews cleared downed power lines.

The driver was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Crews were also called to a different rollover accident near the state line on u-s 30 around 3, that driver was reportedly in fair condition, walking around shortly after.
