FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Small businesses drive our economy and CANI is out to give them a helping hand.

Community Action of Northeast Indiana (CANI) partnered with the Fort Wayne Black Chamber of Commerce (FWBCC) to host the 2013 Entrepreneurial Summit Saturday at the Ivy Tech south campus.

The conference is designed to be a resource for current or aspiring business owners, entrepreneurs, and students.

“The intention is for anyone that's in business or anyone thinking about going into business, they should be here. We've had sessions on how to start a business, how to stay in business, financing a business, youth and whatever they want to do if they want to start a business,” said John Dortch, FWBCC President.

The summit featured a panel discussion by local business leaders and educational breakout workshops and included a keynote address by Michael Russell, CEO of H.J. Russell and Company of Atlanta, GA.
