FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – Phase one of the Ewing Street Sewer Project begins Monday, and will involve some lane closures and restrictions.
The $2.6 million sewer project by Fort Wayne City Utilities will reduce the number of combined sewer overflows and increase their capacity.
Beginning Monday, Sept. 16, two lanes on Ewing Street—between Washington Blvd. and Main Street—will be closed, including the intersection of Berry and Fairfield Avenue.
A stretch of Pearl Street—between Ewing and Fairfield—will also be closed to traffic. Those restrictions are expected to last about two weeks.
Overall, Phase one of the Ewing Street Sewer Project is projected to last around eight months.
