FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - Administrators are scaling back their plans for building renovations.
Fort Wayne Community School leaders had wanted to ask city residents to approve a property tax increase to pay for $242-million worth of improvements.
But in a work session Monday night, board members decided that was too lofty of a goal, and reduced the plan to include the 31-buildings that need repairs the most.
A public hearing will be held December 12th to outline the new plan.
