Autopsy Underway After Fatal Shooting on Wildwood Avenue

Fort Wayne, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- One man is dead following an overnight shooting on W. Wildwood Avenue in Fort Wayne.

Police officers arrived on the scene in the 1300 block of W. Wildwood Ave. shortly after 11p.m. Thursday night and found 33-year-old Brandon Vershon Pearson in the road suffering from at least one gun shot wound.

The Pearson was taken from the scene in critical condition but died at the hospital.

Witnesses say five or six shots rang out and two vehicles left the scene immediately after. Police are looking for one dark blue Chevy Impala with tinted windows and a grey colored extended cab Dodge pickup truck.

A stray bullet shattered a window in a nearby house. No one was injured in the home.
