NEW HAVEN, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) -- FedEx is planning a new 178,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center in New Haven.
The $25 million project puts 40 acres of vacant property at 11039 Lincoln Highway East to use. The property is owned by Setzer Properties ZFWY LLC who has agreed to invest about $12.5 million to construct the state-of-the-art distribution center.
FedEx Ground Package System Inc. will also invest approximately $12.5 million in new mechanical and electrical equipment. FedEx says it plans to create 87 part-time jobs with the new facility and the pay rate for those jobs as much as $3 over minimum wage.
The new facility is schedule for completion in September of 2014.
