IOWA (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Filthy conditions have been reported at Iowa farms being blamed for a salmonella outbreak and massive egg recall.
FDA agents found rodents and maggots running rampant in chicken areas as well as piles of chicken manure in many places during inspections this month.
They also found salmonella bacteria in feed, water and other areas.
Eggs tainted with salmonella have sickened about 1400 people nationwide.
