IRAQ (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq is now complete.
The final convoy of about 500-soldiers crossed into Kuwait Sunday, one of the last in a series of base handovers and ceremonies to end the nearly 9-year-old war.
Nearly 4,500 U.S. troops have been killed in Iraq since 2003, another 30,000 wounded.
Now the U.S. presence in Iraq will consist of about 1,700 diplomats, experts and security officers, and thousands of contractors.
