Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department had a busy time making sure a stubborn house fire wouldn’t reignite on the city’s north side.
Fire crews responded to the initial fire just before midnight. When the first engine arrived to the scene they reported that smoke could be seen coming from the roof of the vacant home. Crews quickly took action and had the fire under control in less than 20 minutes.
However a few hours later the fire re-lit and fire crews were called back out to the scene.
The crew extinguished the pesky fire a second time and remained on the scene for over an hour making sure it wouldn’t ignite a third time.
