The first generation i-phone is soon to be considered 'obsolete.'

Six years after it was introduced, Apple is labeling the original i-phone as vintage which means only people who purchased the phone in California will have access to Apple repair services, according to sources.

Studies show there were about 6-point-1 million original i-phones sold during its lifetime. Apple sold 37-point-5 million i-phones just last quarter.

Apple is working the seventh generation of the popular smart phone which is scheduled to hit the market sometime in June.
