Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – A Fort Wayne man pleaded guilty in a murder case Friday.
Anthony Tate, 22, had been charged with murder. He pleaded guilty to assisting a criminal, which is a Class C felony.
Police say Tate and 18-year-old Paul Prater used a hammer to beat 20-year-old William Fett Jr. in the head in his own apartment on Ullyot Drive last June. Fett died the next day.
Tate is scheduled to be sentenced to serve up to 8 years in prison on July 13.
