Fort Wayne Man's Actions Spurs Tougher State Voyeurism Laws

INDIANA (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - The actions of a Fort Wayne man has spurred lawmakers to toughen voyeurism laws.

A State Senate committee voted 4- 3 for a bill that would make it illegal to invade someone's privacy by photography.

The arrest of David DeLagrange is motivation for the bill.

He attached a camera to his shoe and shot video up the skirts of shoppers at Castleton Square Mall.

Voyeurism charges were dropped because the state voyeurism statute applies only to a peeper looking into a residence.
