FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) -- Officials with Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation are working to replace thousands of dying trees in Fort Wayne because of the Emerald Ash Borer.
Monday afternoon, board members approved a $302,000 contract.
The money will replace about 1800 Ash trees which is only half of the dying trees, being cut down this year.
Money will be saved over the next decade to replace the rest.
