Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) – One lucky Fort Wayne woman is a bit richer today after matching four out of the first five numbers and the Powerball number, winning some extra spending money this holiday season.

Barbara Wright of Fort Wayne walked into Hoosier Lottery Headquarters in Indianapolis shortly after the doors opened Thursday morning and presented her ticket worth $40,000 to Lottery officials.

Wright opted for the “Power Play” and increased her winnings from $10,000 to $40,000.

Wright said the extra cash in the bank will allow her to "have a nice Christmas," pay off all her financial obligations and put a down payment on a car. If there is any left over, Wright and her husband hope to upgrade their next annual vacation. The couple are avid hunters and fishermen who hope to splurge on either a bear hunting trip to Wyoming or a fishing trip to the Florida Keys.
