Fort Wayne,Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - Fort Wayne has it's fourth shooting since 7 O'clock Thursday night.

Around 1:15 Friday afternoon, Fort Wayne Police were dispatched to the 2500 block of Stardale Avenue on a report of someone shot.

Police worked the scene now for several hours, talking to residents about the shooting, while also searching for evidence.

The 18 year old male victim was riding in the backseat of a car with others and were fired at by occupants in what is believed to be a tan-colored Chevy Malibu at the corner of Euclid and Pettit Avenues.

From there, the victim drove to an apartment complex in the 2500 block of Stardale Avenue to seek help.

That's when police arrived.

Public Information Officer for the Fort Wayne Police Department Raquel Foster says, "The occupant in a maroon colored Chevy Cavalier-- one occupant possibly of three passengers in that vehicle-- he was suffering from what appeared to be a gun shot wound. He was transported to a local hospital. He's in serious condition at this time."

When asked if there was any connection to two other shootings in the area last night, Foster said it was too early to tell.

It's also too early to tell if this latest victim was a target, or if this was a random act.If anyone has any information regarding the shooting incident police they are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 436-STOP.
