NEW HAVEN, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - A gas station attendant was held at knifepoint in the 600 block of Broadway early Friday morning.

The robbery happened at the Lassus Handy-Dandy Store.

The attendant says he was back in the freezer when he heard the entrance door sounded. When he came out, he observed a 'bulky male,' wearing a red "hoodie," with a bandana covering his face, standing at the cash register. The attendant described the intruder as holding a large knife, and demanded he stay down on the floor. After a few seconds, the suspect fled out of the front door and ran Southbound on Broadway towards Lincoln Hwy.

Officers arrived on the scene soon after, according to officials. The investigation is still ongoing.
