Why Did Gas Hit $4.29 A Gallon?

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) - A gallon of regular gas will now cost you $4.29 in the Summit City, so why are gas prices so high?

Indiana's statewide average of $4.14 a gallon and is the eighth highest in the country.

Experts say the string of deadly tornadoes that hit the south last week contributed to the rise.

Seven refineries were temporarily shut down due to the storms.
