Fort Wayne, IN (Indiana's NewsCenter) -- Seventeen more people gain back control of their lives after graduating from drug court Monday afternoon.

The Allen County court house hosted the 33rd ceremony of Drug Court participants.

Collectively the class completed almost 2,000 hours of treatment and has maintained over 230 months of sobriety between them.

Judge Gull presented the graduates with their diplomas that they worked hard on for almost a year and a half.

Allen County Superior Court began the county's first drug court initiative fifteen years ago and has created a program that encourages offenders to take control of their own recovery.
