Hagel Confirmation Hearing (with Video)

WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.incnow.tv) - Former Republican Senator Chuck Hagel's confirmation hearing to be President Obama's next Secretary of Defense begins Thursday.

Hagel will be introduced to the Senate Armed Services Committee by Democrat Sam Nunn and Republican John Warner. By the time Thursdays hearing convenes, Hagel will have met with over 60 Senators to smooth the way for what started as a potentially rocky confirmation process.

While administration officials are optimistic about the confirmation, they are not taking anything for granted.
