WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.incnow.tv) - It appears Leon Panetta will have to remain the nation's defense secretary for a little bit longer.
Senate Republicans successfully filibuster the vote to confirm President Obama’s nominee, Chuck Hagel. This is the first time in history a defense secretary nomination has been filibustered. Thursday confirmation vote fell short by two. He needed 60 yeas.
The senate will make a second attempt at cloture or cut off debate when they return from recess on February 26th.
