Hayhurst Responds To Latest Poll Ranking

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - In the race to replace former Congressman Mark Souder - the latest 3rd district polling numbers show Republican Marlin Stutzman up by 25 percent over Democrat Tom Hayhurst.

But Hayhurst says that poll is flawed.

3rd District Congressional Candidate Dr. Tom Hayhurst says, “I think that frankly that poll is totally bogus. Period. Something like a quarter of the respondents in that poll were from one county on the other side of the congressional district. It looks to me like a very sloppy poll, doesn't really reflect the make up of the district at all.”

Hayhurst says his internal polling has him running neck and neck with Stutzman.

He says the only poll that matters will be taken on next Tuesday - Election Day.
