FORT WAYNE, Ind. (21Alive) – The 11th ice skating season is winding down at Headwaters Park this weekend. The rink will officially close Sunday night (March 2).

Despite the freezing temperatures and snowy weather we've had this year, the rink still hosted nearly 20,000 skaters.

It’s estimated, though, that this season's attendance was significantly lower because of the weather. Because of that, the rink is offering a deal only this weekend—buy one ticket and get one free.

The ice skating rink at Headwaters Park is open Saturday until 10 p.m., and again Sunday from 12 – 8 p.m.
