FORT WAYNE, INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - School pride, tradition, history - all on the line this Friday and Saturday as ten high school teams play for their division's state championship at Lucas Stadium.
Two of the schools are from Fort Wayne - in Class 2A, where Bishop Luers takes on undefeated North Putnam. And in Class 4A, perennial powerhouse and undefeated Bishop Dwenger faces off against Indianapolis Cathedral.
All five IHSAA state championship football games will be on NBC 33 Friday and Saturday. Coverage begins Friday at 3:30 P.M. and Saturday at Noon.
The match-ups:
Class 1A: Friday @ 3:30 Lafayette Central Catholic (14-0) vs. Fountain Central (13-1)
Class 2A: Friday @ 7:00 Bishop Luers (13-1) vs North Putnam (14-0)
Class 3A: Saturday @ 12:00 South Bend St. Joseph's (9-5) vs. Indianapolis Bishop Chatard (10-4)
Class 4A: Saturday @ 3:30 Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger (13-0) vs. Indianapolis Cathedral (11-3)
Class 5A: Saturday @ 7:00 Fishers (13-1) vs. Lawrence Central (13-1)
