Fort Wayne, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) - The unemployment rate for veterans dropped to its lowest rate in four years in October, 6.3-percent. But local efforts by the Northeast Indiana Human Resources Association aims to drive those numbers down even further.

Each November, the organization aligns local business leaders with veterans and active members of the military looking for employment.

On Monday, several of those veterans passed out resumes at the group's monthly meeting, after going through NIHRA training programs.

Former-NIHRA President Paul Gauger| said, “We've taught anywhere from interviewing skills to resume writing skills to how you present yourself, type skills, and we've done that on a two or three times a year basis for the past three or four years."
