Hoosier State Tops Nation In Teen Driver Deaths (with Video)

INDIANA (www.incnow.tv) -- The Hoosier state is at the top of the nation for the highest increase in 16- and 17-year-old driver deaths according to the Governors Highway Safety Association.

Fatal accidents in early 2012 were tracked for this report and Indiana was at the top of the list with Tennessee, Alabama, Arizona, Kentucky and Louisiana below it.

The Indiana State Police suspect texting and driving to be a cause and they also advise parents to talk to teens about the dangers of using drugs and alcohol while driving.

State lawmakers are expected to review the report so they can consider new legislation that could protect teen drivers.
