WASHINGTON, DC (www.incnow.tv) - The House of Representatives observed a moment of silence in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting.
A place where unity hasn't been much lately, house members put aside their differences and came together for a moment of silence. Congressman Chris Murphy, of Connecticut spoke on the House Floor requesting the gesture.
Without pause, Speaker John Boehner granted his request and asked his fellow representatives to rise, bow their heads, and reflect peacefully on Friday morning's tragedy.
