ELLETTSVILLE, Ind (www.incnow.tv) – An English Blue Tick hunting dog was rescued from a twenty-five foot deep crevice near Red Hill Road in Monroe County early Sunday morning.
According to an Indiana Conservation Officer, the hunting dog was participating in a field trail competition when it followed a raccoon into a crevice that was twenty-five feet deep and less than two feet wide. The blue tick was wedged in the crevice and unable to move to free itself.
An officer was lowered into the deadly crevice and was able to free the canine and bring it back to the surface safely.
