HUNTINGTON, Ind. (Indiana's NewsCenter) - The City of Huntington will discuss the creation of a quiet zone whereby train operators would not have to sound their horns when crossing a residential area.
Train engineers sound their loud warning horns ahead of railroad crossings so motorists know when there is a train coming. However, Huntington might have a quiet zone for residential areas.
A public hearing will take place on July 10 at 7 p.m. at Huntington's City Building.
